Is there another way to open an account?

If you open a personal account, you can get a new debit card issued, which is linked to your account on the spot.
You can also open an account at a Hellenic Post branch in the same way. Make an appointment at the Hellenic Bank branch of your choice and bring with you all the supporting documents for opening an account.
If I already bank with Eurobank, how do I open a new account?
If you already bank with us, you can open a new account through the Eurobank Mobile App or your e-Banking.
Online, you can open:
- Day to Day Account Plus for your daily needs or salary.
- Saving Now Account for your savings.
- 18 Plus Account if you are 18-28 years old.
- Business sight account if you are a freelance professional or owner of a sole proprietorship.
Otherwise come to one of our branches.
What supporting documents do I need to open an account?
To open an account, you need to upload through the Eurobank Mobile App or submit to a branch proof of your:
- Identification
- Income and tax details
- Home address and phone number
- Employment
How can I open a payroll or pension account?
If you don’t bank with us, you can open your 1st account in no time at all through the Eurobank Mobile App.
Otherwise, come to one of our branches or go to a Hellenic Post branch.
Once you open a Eurobank account, you can use it for your payroll or pension.
To transfer your salary to Eurobank, you only need to give your IBAN to your employer or to the public entity you work at.
If you choose to open a payroll account at a branch, along with all the rest of the supporting documents, you’ll also need to submit:
- A certificate from your employer

If you already bank with us, you can open a Day to Day Account Plus through the Eurobank Mobile App or your e-Banking, if you have your login credentials.
Otherwise, come to one of our branches to open it.
To transfer your pension to Eurobank online or at a branch, you’ll need to give us or fill in: your social security number (AMKA) and your DIAS number, which appear on your pension slip. If you don’t have it handy, you can easily download it using your TAXISnet credentials.
If you bank with us but do not have credentials, get your login credentials online using your computer or mobile phone.
I live abroad. Can I open an account?
Yes, as long as you are a permanent resident in a country participating in PRADO.
Can I open an account for someone who is under 18?
Yes. You can open a Megalono Account for your child at one of our branches, with an initial deposit of €50. Your child is the sole account holder.
As soon as your child turns 18, the Megalono Account automatically switches to an 18 Plus Account with the same account number. Your child remains the account holder.
Make an appointment at the branch of your choice and bring all the supporting documents for you and your child.
Can I add another holder to my account online?
Yes. You can add a joint account holder online through your e-Banking or the Eurobank Mobile App, without either you or them coming to a branch.
The joint account holder you wish to add must:
- Be a natural person.
- Be a Eurobank client.
- Have updated their details.
- Be 18 years or older.
Choose the account to which you wish to add a joint account holder. Then, choose how you wish to add them:
- By choosing them from the drop-down list of joint account holders with whom you already share accounts at Eurobank.
or
- Through searching, by filling in their tax number and date of birth.
If there are other joint account holders in your account, they must have updated their details and be 18 years or older.
They can update their details online, either through eGov KYC, without any supporting documents, or by uploading the necessary documents.
If the joint account holder you want to add does not bank with Eurobank, you must come along with them to the branch. In addition, the joint account holder must bring along the supporting documents required to open a bank account.
How do I get my debit card if I open an account online?
If you request a new debit card when you open your account through the Eurobank Mobile App, you get the virtual Hybrid Debit Mastercard.
Once the process is completed, you have access to its details through your e-Banking and the Eurobank Mobile App. You do not need to activate it. You can use it for your transactions through your mobile immediately.
If you are a freelance professional and have opened a Business sight account, you get the Business Debit Mastercard. You’ll receive it by post, at the address you’ve registered with Eurobank.
I used to bank with Eurobank in the past. Can I open an account online?
Yes. If you have e-Banking credentials, you can log in and open your account online.
If you have e-Banking credentials, but have forgotten them, you can recover your credentials online.
If you never had e-Banking credentials, you can sign up online. All you need is an active Eurobank credit or debit card.
If you don’t have an active card, you can open an account only through the Eurobank Mobile App. Download the app and choose: I want to be a customer and follow the steps to open an account, as outlined on this page.

What is the difference between a business account and a personal account?
The business account is different from the personal account, as it is designed to meet the day-to-day needs of a business or a freelance professional.
With the Eurobank Business sight account, you can:
- Accept card payments on a POS or Smart POS.
- Collect money for your business through IRIS Person to Professionals (P2Pro).
- Pay your payroll.
- Get a Business Debit Mastercard.
If you are a freelance professional or owner of a sole proprietorship, you can easily transfer your business banking relationship to Eurobank, without coming to a branch.
