Eurobank EFG was rated “Best Bank in Greece for 2006” by the Global Finance magazine

Eurobank EFG has won new international awards. For the fourth time it was rated by the prestigious international Global Finance magazine: “Best Bank in Greece for 2006”.

Global Finance’s “Best Bank Award” recognizes every year the world’s best banks. Banks in each country are judged across a range of criteria including last year’s performance, as well as their reputation and management quality, with special emphasis on assets growth, profitability, regional expansion, strategic alliances, the development of new activities and innovative products. The opinion of shareholders and analysts is also considered.

The awards were presented at a special ceremony in Singapore within the framework of the events organized during the International Monetary Fund’s Session.

Eurobank EFG was also nominated for the first time by Global Finance “Best Bank in Greece 2006 for Custodian Services”. This distinction is awarded for high quality and innovative services, in conjunction with competitive price policies, state of the art technology, continuous market share growth, staff expertise and the emphasis given by the bank to this sector.
