Mr. Vasilios Trapezanoglou, a highly qualified executive known for his contribution in the area of IT, e-banking and retail banking, was appointed in April 2005 as Consultant to the Management of EFG
V. Trapezanoglou was Deputy General Manager (1998-1999), General Manager (1999-2004) and Consultant to the Management (Jan. – April 2005) at Piraeus Bank responsible for e-banking, IT systems, organization, retail banking, alternative networks and the Piraeus Bank Group’s business activities in the field of information systems and services (Chairman of Exodus, Piraeus Direct Services, ABC, Project OnLine and other companies).
He was also Information Systems Manager at Xios Bank (1992-1998), Organization and Information Systems Manager for MOTOR OIL Company (1981-1991) and Head of the IT Center of the Aspropyrgos Hellenic Refinery (1975-1981). At the same time, he has also worked as expert consultant on IT issues both in the public and the private sectors and has demonstrated significant scientific contribution. He has served as President of the Greek Information Technology Scientists Association and is a member of the Executive Jury that awards the European IST-Prizes. He was also a member of the Power Public Corporation’s Board of Directors, in the period 6/2000-4/2004.
