Due to significant uncertainties regarding the contents and implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in Greece and in the European Union (including valuation issues for securities portfolios and derivatives, tax issues etc.), the Bank will publish its financial statements under IFRS simultaneously with other EU banks. This will ensure the full comparability of Eurobank’ s financial statements with those of its EU peers from 2005 onwards, once all the aforementioned uncertainties have been resolved.
The Annual Meeting of the Shareholders of EFG Eurobank Ergasias for the approval of the financial statements of the fiscal year 2003 will convene on Monday, 5 April 2004, while the share will trade ex-dividend on Tuesday, 6 April 2004, assuming Shareholder approval. The announcement of the Bank’s Nine-Month Results will take place on Thursday, 4 November 2004.
