EFG Eurobank Leasing signed, in December 2000, a leasing agreement with the Fourlis group of companies involving a GRD 12 bn (35,2 m euro) property. The contract concerns the purchase, by EFG Eurobank Leasing, and the leasing, by Fourlis, of a 22,000 sq.m. commercial property (formerly belonging to "Continent") in Pylaia, in Thessaloniki. The Fourlis group of companies is planning to establish therein the first Greek store of the international chain IKEA.

EFG Eurobank Leasing, a subsidiary of the EFG Eurobank Ergasias group, has already been active for two years in the rapidly expanding Greek leasing market. In this very competitive environment, EFG Eurobank Leasing is able to exploit synergies with the group's banking operations, and is already among the top companies in the sector, both in the property market, and as regards mobile equipment (cars, machinery, etc.).
