Through its Mumbai presence, Eurobank aims to facilitate business relationships between India, Greece, Cyprus and the wider European market. The Office:

- Assists Greek and Cypriot clients seeking to enter or expand in India.
- Promotes connectivity across the India-Europe corridor.
By setting up this Office, the Group:
- Strengthens its presence in the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC).
- Acts as a bridge between India and Europe, with Greece and Cyprus serving as strategic gateways into the European Union.
- Gains greater visibility among Indian businesses and investors.
Background
Eurobank's engagement with India has developed through a series of strategic initiatives.
In 2024 Eurobank and the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
In 2025 Eurobank became a co-founder of the India-Greece-Cyprus (IGC) Business and Investment Council. The IGC aims to strengthen the economic and investment cooperation between the 3 countries, by bringing together government bodies, industry leaders and investors from India, Greece and Cyprus
In 2026, following approval from the Reserve Bank of India, the Representative Office was established in the leading financial and business districts in Mumbai. This Office marks Eurobank’s 1st institutional presence in India.
Also in 2026, Eurobank activated its cross-border remittance service from Greece to India through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). This forms part of its strategic collaboration with NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), a subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
