Thefundstarratingsare essential for the assessment process of mutual funds within their relevant peer group across Europe, which has developed into a very competitive and demanding market.

Morningstar®calculates separate ratings for three-, five-, and 10-year periods (where applicable), then combine those ratings into an aggregate rating for each fund. The evaluation is performed on mutual funds with a minimum 3-year performance history and the fund star ratings reflect consistency of returns. At the same time the pricing policy of the mutual funds plays a significant role in the review of the overall ratings.

Following Morningstar’s assessment each mutual fund receives a rating on a scale of one star to five stars.Within each Morningstar®category the top 10% of funds are awarded five stars, the next 22.5% receive four stars, the middle 35% three stars, the next 22.5% two stars and the bottom 10% receive one star.

The Managing Director of EFG M.F.M.C., Mr. Aris Xenofos commented: "The Morningstar® fund star ratings that the Eurobank and Interamerican Mutual Funds continue to receive prove the on-going efforts of our company to improve the quality of our fund management services within the strict legal framework each mutual fund operates. Our principle of offering quality to our investors targets not only the results of portfolio management but also the implementation of tools and models that measure risk as well as the development of applications that allow secure transactions to be performed in an efficient and low-cost manner".
