EFG Eurobank participated successfully in an international conference organised by the investment bank Merrill Lynch in London, on 29 and 30 November, for the benefit of international institutional investors, on the theme of banks active in emerging markets, including Greece.
Officers of EFG Eurobank made comprehensive presentations of the banking group and its activities in Greece and had direct contacts with about ten of the biggest international institutional investors. For its part, Merril Lynch announced that it placed EFG Eurobank among its surveyed banks, and presented a first analysis that included positive commentary on the evolution of the financial indicators and prospects of the bank. According to these, EFG Eurobank will see earnings per share increase, over the next five years, at an annual rate of 44 per cent. Also, the bank’s shares are given a positive recommendation as a long-term investment.
Also, as of today, 1 December 1999, EFG Eurobank’s share is included in the FT-ASE-20 index, accounting for 3.8 per cent of the index.
