The award ceremony for “the first among the first” lyceum graduates from every prefecture of the country will take place on Friday, February 11th, 2005 at 19:30 in the Old Parliament. The event is part of the programme “The Great Moment for Education” implemented last year by EFG Eurobank Ergasias.
With the programme “The Great Moment for Education”, EFG Eurobank awards every year distinguished students from every lyceum of the country —whether public or private, daily or evening— who achieved the highest grade in the entrance examinations to university education. For the school year 2003-2004, 33 awarding ceremonies took place while 1,105 third grade students received awards.
The President of the Republic, Mr. Constantinos Stephanopoulos, will honor with his presence the awarding ceremony in the Old Parliament and will present the 60 distinguished graduates with honorary plaquettes.
During the awarding ceremony,both the Deputy Minister of National Education and Religion, Mr. Spyros Taliadouros and the Chief Executive Officer of EFG Eurobank Ergasias, Mr. Nicholas Nanopoulos, will deliver salutatory addresses.
The continuation of the programme “The Great Moment for Education” reinforces the already significant contribution by the Eurobank Group in education and in other important sectors, such as Culture and Sports.
