Bank EFG Eurobank Ergasias proceeded with the installation of an integrated and particularly effective fraud prediction and management system, the Fraudguard online system. The system was installed with the cooperation of company CTL and the department of Risk Management of Eurobank Cards. Fraudguard is acknowledged by international payment systems and was installed at a critical moment, in order to cover the needs of the Bank during the Olympic Games, as well as after the Games, and also to support the Bank’s international expansion.
Fraudguard is a contemporary internet application which, with the use of rules, historical data and customer profiles, recognizes and rates transactions according to their riskiness as to the possibility of fraud.
It is worth stressing that Eurobank is the first bank in Greece to use an online application in this sector.
