Eurobank completes the operational merger of Proton Bank

Monday, December 9, 2013, marked the successful migration of the operations of Proton Bank into the Eurobank IT systems, as well as the absorption of Proton Bank’s 28 retail branches by the Eurobank branch network.

The seamless migration of the 104,000 former Proton clients, including the transfer of their products and services in the Eurobank environment, took place within just 10 working days from the completion of the merger by absorption of New Proton Bank S.A. with Eurobank Ergasias S.A. on Friday November 22, 2013.

Hence, all former Proton Bank clients have access to Eurobank’s 365 branches and 610 ATMs throughout Greece and can perform transactions electronically on a 24 hour basis using Eurobank’s e-Banking and m-Banking platforms, as well the Europhone Banking service channel. In addition, they can use the 189 branches and 284 ATMs of New TT Hellenic Postbank to perform interbanking transactions between Eurobank and New Hellenic Postbank at no charge.
