EFG Eurobank Ergasias has enriched its human resources with new specialised and experienced personnel, in line with its strategy for further development of activities in the areas of capital markets, investment advisory, and asset management for large private banking clients.

Within the framework of offering superior services to HNWI, the following members have joined the Private Banking Division:
  • Mr Epaminondas Tsaknakis has undertaken duties as Head of the Business Development and Product & Sales Promotion Division of Private Banking, as of January 1, 2002. Mr Tsaknakis has worked at large financial organisations in the area of Private Banking. Until recently he worked at Lehman Brothers in London as Director for South Eastern Europe. In the past he has held positions at Citibank both in London and Athens. Mr Tsaknakis holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York, and a Degree in Business Administration from the Aristoteleion University of Thessaloniki.
  • Mrs Evaggelia Ragia has been placed Head of the Systems and Information Technology Division of Private Banking. Mrs Ragia comes from EFG Private Bank London, where she worked as Senior Manager in systems development. She has also worked as consultant at Accenture (former Andersen Consulting) on the development of transaction systems for the London Stock Exchange. Mrs Ragia holds a MSc in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Technology Systems from the London School of Economics and a Degree in Physics from the Aristoteleion University of Thessaloniki.Mrs Fotini Andrikopoulou is the new Head of Private Banking Unit in the city of Volos. Mrs Andrikopoulou has extensive experience in portfolio management for HNWI. She had been working at Citibank’s Citigold since 1987 and for the last four years she was Manager of the Kifissia branch. She holds a BA in Economics from the American Deree College. In order to offer improved service to HNWI with international activity, the International Private Banking Unit has been re-organised and strengthened as follows:
  • Mr Panagiotis Dimitropoulos has undertaken the position of Unit Head. Mr Dimitropoulos comes from Telesis Investment Bank, where he was Director of Private Banking, and has worked for many years at Bank of America in Athens, as responsible for bond, money, and foreign exchange markets and Treasury operations. Mr Dimitropoulos is a graduate of ASOEE, Department of Business Administration.Mrs Elisabeth Andronikos has undertaken duties as Deputy Head. She has long experience in portfolio management for HNWI, coming from CCF, where she held the position of Private Banking Manager. She has also worked for six years at Merrill Lynch, Athens, as Senior Financial Consultant for large Private Banking client portfolios.
  • Mr Vassilios Kefalas has undertaken the position of Senior Relationship Manager. He comes from Bank of America, where he worked as Assistant Vice President in foreign exchange. He has worked at SBC Warburg Dillon Read, New York, as Associate Director of foreign exchange. Mr Kefalas holds an MBA from Stern School of Business, New York, and a BA in Finance/Investments & Economics from Babson College.
  • Mrs Helen Sotiropoulos has been named Relationship Manager. She has worked at CCF as Senior Officer in International Private Banking, and as officer at Banque Paribas, Geneva. She holds a Degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Lausanne.As of February 1, 2002, Mr Paris Karasso will undertake duties as Head of the Advisory / Investment Strategy Division, which is responsible for shaping the investment strategy of the Bank and of the large Private Banking clients. Mr Karasso has long experience in investment strategy matters, with specialisation in the emerging markets of Latin America. Until recently, he was employed at Bear Sterns in New York, while in the past he held positions at Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust. Mr Karasso holds a PhD and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, USA, and BA in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. The new Head of Treasury Sales to international institutional investors is Mr Dimosthenis Arhodidis. Mr Arhodidis comes from Deutsche Bank, London, where he held the position of Vice President for global markets and was responsible for the creation and promotion of derivative products. He has also worked at Bankers Trust, London, for the creation and promotion of financial and other structured products for emerging markets. He holds a PhD and a MA in Business Economics from Harvard University, as well as a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Hamilton College, USA.
    Mr Aris Liakopoulos has been appointed as Director in Fixed Income Securities Trading at the Institutional Asset Management Division of EFG Finance. Mr Liakopoulos comes from the Investment Bank of Greece, where he was Head of Derivatives. He held positions as Chief Dealer in Fixed Income Securities at ABN Amro Bank and Bank of America in Athens. Mr Liakopoulos holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, New York, and a Degree in Civil Engineering from the Demokrition University of Thrace.
