BC Larnaka Cyprus Opening

Eurobank EFG yesterday (27/11/2008) officially opened the third Business Centre in Cyprus. The new business centre is operating in Larnaka, while in the immediately following months Eurobank EFG shall also establish another three new business centres (a second in Lefkosia, a second in Lemesos and a first in Paphos) in order that it may more effectively service, through its six business centres in total, its rapidly developing activities in Cyprus.

Mr. Michael Colakides, the deputy CEO of the Bank has stressed that in its brief operating period in Cyprus Eurobank EFG has funded a significant number of Cypriot companies with funding balances that have already reached 260 million Euros while it has also funded foreign companies with funding balances in the sum of 110 million Euros. In his address to hundreds of guests, on the occasion of the Larnaka business centre opening, Mr. Kolakidis said that the aim of Eurobank EFG is to offer integrated financial credit services, mainly to businesses but also to private banking clients, to institutions as well as to customers seeking capital markets products.

Mr. Colakides stressed that the Eurobank EFG is convinced that Cyprus is and shall continue to be a powerful, international, open financial credit centre with free capital movement and that Eurobank EFG aims to play a significant role in the support and development of this role by the Cypriot economy.
