Mr. David Watson will resume the duties of an Advisor to the Management of EFG Eurobank Ergasias

As of April 2002 Mr. David Watson will resume the duties of an Advisor to the Management of EFG Eurobank Ergasias on matters related to its International operations. Mr. D. Watson will be responsible for the further development of EFG Eurobank Ergasias’ activities in the Balkans and the wider region of South Eastern Europe.
In line with its strategic position and in order to strengthen its presence in the wider Balkan region, EFG Eurobank Ergasias participates, as a shareholder, in two major Banks of the region, Bulgaria’s Post Bank and Banc Post in Romania. Both Banks are already expanding with positive results.The new Advisor to the Management Mr. David Watson, will cooperate with the International Division of the Bank which is headed by Mr. Th. Karakassis. Mr. D. Watson will also be participating in a newly established Executive Committee for International Affairs, an initiative demonstrating an interest on behalf of EFG Eurobank Ergasias for the consistent promotion of its strategy in the region.
Mr. David Watson was the Managing Director of Bank of Piraeus (1998-2001) and General Manager of XIOS Bank (1990-1996). He has also successfully served for 16 years as Senior Officer of Citibank both in Greece and abroad.
