Grivalia Properties SA Real Estate Investment Company is a partially owned (20%) subsidiary of Eurobank Ergasias SA. The Company’s objective is to make investments, and more specifically to acquire and manage real estate, in accordance with Law 2778/1999 on property investment companies.

Grivalia Properties REIC is a leading investment company with commercial property portfolios in Greece and SE Europe. Grivalia is among the 20 most powerful companies in the Athens Exchange.

The 2015 investment portfolio of Grivalia Group includes:

  • 86 assets with a gross leasable area (GLA) of 743,902 sq. m.
  • €825.6 million in fair value.


Grivalia Properties REIC was founded in 1952 as Commerce, Industry, Buildings (EBO) SA. In 1995 the Company was acquired by the Bank of Crete. In 1999 the Bank of Crete merged with EFG Eurobank SA.

In 2000 the Company changed its corporate name to EFG Eurobank Properties SA. In 2005 it became a Real Estate Investment Company SA (AEEAP) and was renamed Eurobank Real Estate Investment Company SA.

In 2013 Fairfax Financial Holdings acquired 41.65% of the Company’s share capital.

In October 2014 the Company was renamed Grivalia Properties REIC.
