«eVolution Awards 2012» (December 2011)

Eurobank EFG secured three significant awards at the “eVolution Awards 2012” for e-business that was organized by the Athens University of Economics in cooperation with Boussias Communications. Specifically, Eurobank received the following awards:

 

«Security / Payments – Award»:
This is the highest distinction under the “Security / Payments” category. It mainly rewards the manner in which electronic transactions through e-Banking are safeguarded (personal digital certificates, one time passwords, transaction limits, etc), as well as the fact that Eurobank is the only bank that guarantees the security of transactions carried out through e-Banking. It undertakes to cover any loss of money from customer accounts without their approval.

 «Commendation for e-Services for Businesses»:
This distinction has been awarded for the variety of specialized solutions in transactions between businesses offered by Eurobank and its subsidiary Business Exchanges.
 «Commendation for Mobile e-Commerce»:
Eurobank was also awarded for ts mobile services. It provides the most comprehensive services in Greece through specialized applications for m-Banking for iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Nokia-Symbian and via SMS to directly inform Bank customers.

For the 5th year in a row the RAM technology magazine (December 2006) awarded the “Top Performance” prize for 2006 to the Eurobank e-Banking service.

Eurobank’s e-Banking service has once again excelled in the annual comparative test held by the technology magazine PCMagazine (July 2005 issue), with the service standing out in terms of its available transactions, transaction security and the practicality of the application.

“The user interface is included among the most user-friendly interfaces and provides easy and direct access to a wide range of banking services”; “the security rules are particularly strict during use (virtual keyboard, certificate…)”.

The PCWorld technology magazine has named the Eurobank e-Banking service the “Best Service” in the comparative test that was held for the e-Banking services of Greek banks, and has made special reference to the procedures employed to safeguard transactions, the abundance of functions it offers, and the practicality and user-friendliness of the application.

  • Security: “Greater security appears to be the main objective of the bank and this becomes clear both in the activation process and in the subsequent use of the service”.
  • Available functions: “Apart from security, Eurobank’s e-Banking service also provides a plethora of functions that cover the entire range of its banking products”.
  • Easy-to-use Environment: “The application’s easy-to-use and functional menu of options is included among its advantages”.

In addition to winning the “Best Service” title, the Eurobank e-Banking service was named the most “Advantageous Service” mainly due to its low charges for transactions effected online. Furthermore, the magazine editors also made special mention of the ability to use the service without necessarily having an internet subscription.


2004 DISTINCTIONS

Ermis Awards (November 2004)


At the Ermis Awards and specifically in the “Online Services” category of the Web Awards, Eurobank won the Ermis Silver award for its e-Banking service. This category involves the evaluation of websites whose main scope includes the provision of online services via the web.

 

RAM (October 2004)

The RAM technology magazine has named Eurobank the best electronic Bank on the Greek internet for 2004.

The magazine editors have set Eurobank apart, inter alia, due to the comprehensiveness of the available transactions, the credit card support provided, the management of domestic and international remittances, the ability to make credit card payments to other banks, as well as the “Global Position” of clients. As in every one of these competitions, special reference was also made to the digital certificates that only Eurobank uses to secure electronic transactions. Lastly, another significant parameter was Eurobank’s policy of charging low to zero rates for transactions carried out online.
 

PCMagazine (May 2004)

Eurobank’s e-Banking service has once again won the first place in the annual comparative test held by the technology magazine PCMagazine (May 2004 issue).

The factors that have contributed to this distinction include the wealth of transactions provided online, the high security standard that Eurobank has adopted in order to safeguard all electronic transactions, as well as its friendly and practical navigation environment. Also, special reference was made by the magazine editors to the actual 24-hour online execution of transactions, the abundance of available transactions in the stock exchange section, the online “Help” provided for all transactions, and the 24-hour technical support provided to clients.


2003 DISTINCTIONS

RAM (September 2003)

For the second year in a row the RAM technology magazine has in the framework of its annual e-Banking comparative test selected Eurobank as the most integrated bank on the Greek internet, thus further widening the gap between Eurobank and its competitors in relation to the corresponding competition of 2002.

In this competition Eurobank was distinguished for the comprehensiveness of the transactions available online, its online credit card support, as well as its online support and management of domestic and international remittances. Special mention was also made of the new virtual keyboard login system and the option to save the username.

Eurobank also won the first place for its Mobile-Banking service in the relevant comparative test held by the technology magazine PCMagazine, which set it apart from the competition. Eurobank got an “Excellent” in most evaluation categories, such as for the comprehensiveness and quality of its services, the security provided when effecting transactions and the technical support it offers its clients.

Global Finance (July 2003)

The world-renowned American Global Finance magazine has in the framework of the annual World’s Best Internet Bank Awards named Eurobank the “Best Consumer Internet Bank” in the Greek market. The panel of judges included, apart from the magazine’s editors, representatives of distinguished organisations in the field such as Deloitte & Touche, Bearing Point, Neoris, Logica and Tata Infotech.
Inter alia, the participating banks were evaluated in terms of their strategy for providing services to their internet clients and attracting new clients, the range of online products and services provided, as well as the design and functionality of their corporate website.

Yellow Net Road (July 2003)

Interactive Marketing Yellownetroad has announced the results of its study titled “Evaluate FTSE 20: 2002-2003”, which was based on the methodology of the London School of Economics. It is a comparative study of the websites of the 20 companies under the FTSE 20 index of the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) in 2002 and 2003. The criteria are based on the ‘Evaluate’ methodology that has been developed by yellownetroad in collaboration with the Department of Information Systems of the London School of Economics. Eurobank won the first place among the evaluated banks and occupied the second place overall, thus showing that it has made great progress compared to previous years.

2002 DISTINCTIONS

PCMagazine (November 2002)

For the second year in a row Eurobank’s e-Banking service has won the first place in the annual comparative test held by the renowned technology magazine PCMagazine.

Specifically, the e-Banking services of eleven Greek banks were placed under the microscope and thoroughly evaluated by the magazine’s editors in terms of the wealth of transactions provided, the user-friendliness of their services, the security of transactions as well as the technical support provided to their clients. Eurobank’s e-Banking service was the only one to get full marks in all evaluated categories, which placed it right at the top, leaving an even greater gap between Eurobank and the second-place winner compared to the same competition in 2001.

RAM (April 2002)

The equally renowned RAM technology magazine held a comparative test and awarded Eurobank’s e-banking service the first place among the e-banking services of 11 evaluated banks. In this competition Eurobank was distinguished for the comprehensiveness of its online transactions, the credit card support it provides, its easy access to transactions and the possibility it provides to save data.

Emphasis was also placed on the high security level of transactions, which only Eurobank can provide through the personal digital certificates it issues.


Global Web Ranking

Webranking is the top European survey of corporate websites. In 2002 the companies listed on the Financial Times 500 index (FT500) were evaluated. PCMagazine (July -August 2001)

In the first e-Banking comparative test held by the technology magazine PCMagazine, Eurobank won the first place among the competing banks. The magazine editors wrote:

“One of the first banks to provide e-Banking services is EFG Eurobank Ergasias. In the time that has passed since its commencement, the services provided have developed to a large extent, thus greatly facilitating users…” 

“...The Customer Support Division of EFG Eurobank Ergasias is very well organised. The telephone lines are almost never engaged and all of its members do their best to serve their clients no matter how simple or complex their problems may be…”


1st “Interactive Advertising & Marketing” Conference

The 1st “Interactive Advertising & Marketing” Conference on the present and future of interactive advertising was held in November 2001. Eurobank was honoured with the “i-Strategist of the Year 2001” award for its strategy in the field of new technologies, and specifically for the creation of its subsidiary company EFG e-Solutions. EFG e-Solutions is active in the field of high-tech electronic applications for alternative distribution networks, and its scope involves the development of innovative solutions and investment in modern technological infrastructures.
